He enjoyed fishing, hunting, the outdoors, traveling and visiting with people.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his father. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Great Commission Ministries and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
He is survived by three sons, Brance Gillihan (and Lauren) of Lone Jack; Darrell (and Shannon) Gillihan of Pleasant Hill and Kit (and Jessica) Gillihan of Holden; three grandchildren, Katie Gillihan, Haddie Gillihan and Klayton Gillihan; his mother, Norma Gillihan of Lee’s Summit; one brother Wayne Gillihan of Lee’s Summit; other relatives and friends. She was born July 25, 1923 in Kansas City, the daughter of Earl and Blanche May (Arnold) Justus.
He is also survived by eight grandchildren, Gaige and Faith Berryman of Columbia; Tylor, Tierney and Seth Doolittle of Trenton; Kale and Skylar Bush of Pleasant Hill and Gavin Cooper of Chillicothe; several nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews. Rohr, 83, formerly of Pleasant Hill, departed this life, December 19, 2010 surrounded by his family at the Missouri Veterans Home, Warrensburg.
She is survived by three sons, Robert Dean Adams and Charles A. Adams of Lone Jack: one brother, Alexander Fetters of Independence; nine grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, other relatives and many, many friends. Adams Miller were held December 18, 2010 at the Lone Jack Baptist Church with Pastor Mike Fetters and Pastor Jerry Tharp, officiating. Casket Bearers were Robert Adams, Jr., Cary Adams, Tucker Adams, Logan Adams, Charles Adams, Rodney Adams and Robert Adams, Sr. Gillihan, 62, of Lone Jack, departed this life December 4, 2010 at his home surrounded by his family. On June 6, 1969, Rodger was united in marriage to Cathey Marie Kitley in Lake Lotawana. Rodger was employed as a Data Base Manager for AT&T and IBM.
